The purpose of the ISSTDR Digital Champion program is to build a strong digital presence to enhance STD research, enhance promotion of the biannual World STI & HIV Congresses, and make STD messaging more inclusive. The group focuses on STD research, in line with the remit of ISSTDR and a broad notion of sexual health as outlined by the WHO. Details about the ISSTDR digital media policy are available here. The group is interested in digital communications (especially Twitter and LinkedIn), STD research, and health equity. We are particularly interested in engaging people in low- and middle-income countries, early career investigators (degree in the last 10 years), and key populations (men who have sex with men, sex workers, incarcerated people, people who use drugs). If you have any questions, email Joseph Tucker at jdtucker@med.unc.edu.
